Don’t Hassel the Hoff

This is freaking hilarious:

New Apartment

29 10 2006

Yes, I’m moving again. I’m moving to a nice 2 bedroom town home on the east side of town, right by the Eastgate Mall. Luckily, my email and website won’t go down during this move, but I might be unavailable while I’m moving stuff over there. There are photos of what my place looks like here: Click Here

I’m way out in the suburbs now, but I guess I can get over it. It’s only like a 15 minute drive to downtown.

Phantom of the Opera

25 10 2006

I watched the movie last night for the first time in a couple of years.  It was better than I remember, but I also remembered a lot more of the actual show when I saw it at the Pantages in Toronto before it closed.  I’m not gonna lie, the movie left out all kinds of stuff and did things in the wrong order a lot.  WTF?!   I’m sure this has been written about a lot already elsewhere, so I’m not really going to go into it, but just know that crap like this bothers me. >:(

Also, I really want to see the show again, anywhere.  Does anybody know if it is coming to Cincinnati or any place close to there anytime soon?

Found: 1 black 30 GB video iPod. Is it yours? by ZDNet’s David Berlind — If this isn’t a test for how the blogosphere can get things done, I’m not sure what is. As a part of this test, if you happen to read this blog entry and you have a blog, please spread the word and let’s see if the viral nature of the blogosphere can help this iPod [...]

Lowes Motor Speedway

20 10 2006

Ok, I’m not really a fan of NASCAR (ok, I actually pretty much hate it), but while we were in Charlotte today, we took the tour of the speedway. I was pretty apprehensive at first, but the tour was really interesting. For $5 you get into a 15 passenger van and drive all over the speedway property. You get to go in the infield and see the garages, pit row, the gas station selling $9/gallon race fuel, and you get to go on a lap around the track at between 85 and 100 mph! They stop the fan on one of the turns and it feels like the van is going to roll over. The guide told us the turns are banked at 24 degrees!

So, I’m still not a fan of NASCAR at all, but I can understand why people like it now. (I really want to do the driving school thing where you can ride in or drive a real car at 180+ mph around the track :-) )

Switch to WordPress

17 10 2006

Okay, I know I said I would stick with Blogger, but the lack of control was starting to get to me. Also, my mail server’s network card finally died a horrible death a few months ago, and I’ve been forwarding all my email to gmail. Gmail is nice and all, but after running my own server for 3 years, it was just too limiting for me.

So, I finally went and sprung for some real hosting at mediatemple. I get 100GB of storage and 1TB of bandwidth. I could continue to use Blogger here, but I decided what the hell, I might as well try something new since I’m not hosting anything myself anymore.

So, WordPress it is! I’m going to be trying out some new themes and stuff over the next few days, so the standard stuff applies (Wierd stuff might happen, it might look different, etc., oh noes!!!).
